HOCHSCHULE REUTLINGEN

Wet-Laid-Nonwoven Technology Lab

Nonwovens produced using wet laid nonwoven technology follow the pattern of paper production. The fields of application for wet laid nonwovens are versatile, as even very short fibres that cannot otherwise be used in textile production can be processed using this method. Wet laid nonwovens are used as packaging material, as tea bag/coffee filters, alternative materials to leather and in the sustainable technology fields of the future around battery components, filtration layers and as composite material in lightweight construction.

Depending on the study programme, the laboratory is used in the form of group practicals or individual project work as well as for individual project work, research work, Bachelor's and Master's theses.
