KLiCKLAB

...And in your head it's KLiCK! The Texoversum innovation centre is home to KLiCKLAB, a workspace for interdisciplinary product development. From concept development to finished functional sample production, KLiCKLAB offers the ideal environment to get involved in the key areas of product development and design innovative solutions.

This area serves as a meeting point to provide a low-threshold opportunity to try out innovative ideas and creative research approaches by building demonstrators. The aim is to promote interdisciplinary collaboration between university members and external innovation centres.

KLiCKLAB is a workplace with basic equipment of tools, devices and machines for the production of functional samples and prototypes.

The laboratory is primarily used by the Interdisciplinary Product Development M.Sc. programme, but is also used for individual project work, research work, Bachelor's and Master's theses.

Technical equipment

The mechanical workspace is equipped with workbenches and machines for subtractive manufacturing, which enable integrative design methods and allow complex geometries and structures. The technical equipment includes

  • 3-axis milling machine for metalworking
  • 7-axis robotic milling machine for plastics processing

The digital workspace mainly contains equipment for additive manufacturing as well as a facility for the physical and digital presentation of ideas and project results. The technical equipment includes

  • 3D printers from the category of bath-based photopolymerisation and material extrusion
  • 3D printing post-processing
  • CO2 laser cutting machine
